Riverside Community & Cultural Centre

The Riverside Community and Cultural Centre can be hired as a complete facility for your event or as seperate venue or function rooms, depending on your needs. Our fees are very reasonable and we discuss pricing on an individual basis.

We'll welcome you to the Centre, help you with your planning and do everything we can to make your event a success.

Events

A successful year at the Centre

The Centre is now in it's 3rd successful year. We have hosted events as diverse as: one day, two day and five day, live in workshops, weddings, parties, catered celebrations, Concerts/Theatre, Conferences, seminars and funeral celebrations.

Rangimarie or Peace Hall

Originally built as a church, the 'Rangimarie' or 'Peace Hall' is an acoustic gem.

Graced with wooden floors, panels and ceiling, the generous space has an uplifting atmosphere with inspirational mountain views.

There is a versatile seating arrangement capable of accommodating up to 100 people, suitable for a concert, conference, ball or celebratory function.

Kotahitanga - Meeting Room

The meeting room, Kotahitanga, seats 30 people comfortably.

Its octagonal design enhances the meeting process and its atmosphere of intimacy and warmth will ensure that your workshop or meeting is both pleasurable and inspirational.

For a breath of fresh air, large sliding doors open onto our landscaped courtyard.

Courtyard

Artistic design and use of natural wood features make the courtyard an attractive and relaxed extension to the facilities of the Centre.

Foyer

The entrance foyer is a meeting place in itself, featuring works of local artists and comfortable furniture for lounging and discussion.

Kitchen

The catering standard commercial kitchen is available for all your functions.
We can cater for your morning teas, lunches or five star banquets.We specialise in fresh, organic produce.

Accomodation

• Overnight accommodation, Marae style up to fifteen people, and other by arrangement.
